Liz Porter | Hunter/Jumper
Trainer Liz Porter of Wilde Fields at White North Stables in Hunting Valley, Ohio is an Equiflexsleeve fan.
When Macadoo (Pine Valley’s Mac’s Mister Leo) turned 33, his front suspensories were in horrible condition. It got to the point that he would not stand up.
“If it were not for his ‘socks’, he would not be with us today. I really thought that we would have to put him down. We started using the Equiflexsleeves around the clock and soon he was standing in his stall. He then began to venture out to graze in the courtyard just outside the barn doors. Macadoo has free run of the entire property and began to walk farther out. When he got tired, he would return to his stall – he pretty much did his own therapy. After several weeks in his sleeves, the barn manager called to report that he had ventured down the hill to the pastures to graze beside the other horses! The Equiflexsleeves were simple to use, easy to wash and did not irritate his legs at all. We keep the sleeves on hand and use them as needed.”
On April 27th, Macadoo celebrated his 35th birthday. He continues to enjoy freely roaming the property and visiting with the other horses.
